The last of the birthday photos

Thanks to Willow for sending these to us. This is the third entry for today and I'll try to get a video up in the next few days of our babies...WALKING! They both took their first three steps yesterday (Isabella had been flirting with steps for the last week, but both she and Matthew finally went for it yesterday). We are very excited at our house, and bracing ourselves for what comes next...

Our camera's battery gave out pretty early on (oops, live and learn), so we will have more pictures to upload once friends send us theirs, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy these first pics of the twins' first birthday. Matthew had a great time walking all around the park with his grandma, and though I think Isabella's sandals were bothering her, she walked around a bit too. Of course, a pair of arms to cuddle you is always nice too.

What fun! So many wonderful friends joined us on our special day. Leyna and Maddie made great caterpillars out of banana, peanut butter, carrots and raisins. Yum!!

Matthew and Isabella are one year old!

What great weather we had. The party started at 9:00 a.m., which was perfect because it was just starting to heat up. So many wonderful people came to celebrate with us!

What a special day! We had our birthday celebration at East City Park and many dear friends came to celebrate with us. The theme of the party was the Very Hungry Caterpillar, as this has been Matthew and Isabella's favorite and most read book over the past year. We've got lots of pictures, so enjoy!
